We had to wait a little bit, but it was also 12:45 pm on a Sunday so we expected it to be busy. But the food was amazing I got the chicken fajita it was great and on the cheaper side. Their food and service has got a million times better. I truly recommend Atzimba Mexican Restaurant.

Solid mexican food. Really cool painted mexican furniture. I am giving 4 stars cause today when I went they gave me very small chopped up chicken bites for my fajitas. I had expected the usual heavier strips. This was sad cause it made the chicken greasier. All our other food was great. Chips good, tortillas good, salsa is thin and tasty. They give u separate bowls to pour your own little bowl.

The food was great but we got better service from the food runner than we did our waiter. He was too worried about the group of Mexicans behind us. He only checked on us once after he took our order.

When you go to Lexington, the first Mexican restaurant you're probably going to see is Los Portales. Most of the time though, I would definitely tell people instead of going to Los Phone, go to Atzimba. The selection on the menu is insane. They have everything you could possibly think of. The last time I went I got a shrimp dish served on a flaming plate. I wasn't sure what this meant when reading the menu so I asked. I got told it was a flaming plate, which didn't tell me much more than the menu had. So I decided to be adventurous and ordered it, and when it came out there was fire under my food. my mother's food was served on a pineapple. I think that if you are down for an adventure, this may be your place. The wait staff is friendly, consistently asking if you need something, and very polite. They don't seem to have trouble with you requesting things. The place is clean, and amazing in its attention to detail. All of the chairs and tables have different scenes reminiscent of Mexico, which are raised in relief and painted with colorful lacquer. Even though they're not expensive they sure look it. You'll feel like you're in a fancy Mexican restaurant, until you pay the bill. The prices are very reasonable, the food is outstanding, and the service is wonderful. Just remember to say hi to the iguana!
